Woodroffe Students Get Withy with Sculpture

Lower Sixth students from Woodroffe School took part in a drawing and withy sculpture workshop held in the community room at the Town Mill. The workshop was part of this Lyme Regis ArtsFest initiative to continue to increase the involvement of local young people.

Woodroffe School have embraced this years ArtsFest theme ‘In Transition’ by incorporating it into their A-Level curriculum. ArtsFest committee members and artists Phil Clayton and Sarah Thomas ran the workshop with support from Woodroffe teaching staff.

The students will also be working independently over the summer to produce their own individual Fine Art responses to this year’s theme.

All of the work produced by the young people involved will be exhibited during ArtsFest week in various locations including the Town Mill and Baptist Church Hall.
